KEEPING UP WITH THE
CAPTAINS

Wrestling with Frank Papa & Jason Toth

Jason Toth believes that the team has improved greatly with communication and helping one another out. Frank Papa says the team is recovering from the seasons cancelation and improving their performance. Jason’s best performance was at Ellis Tech Duals where he won three out of four matches that day. Frank’s best performance was a tournament in December where he placed 2nd place, he says “It really was a milestone and showed that I am a capable and competitive wrestler against other good teams.” In Jason’s opinion the team's best performance was the Jonathan Law meet where they won 60-24. Frank believes they’re best performance was against Shelton where they only had one loss and put Shelton to shame.

Team Member Spotlight:  Marchello Torres, started wrestling as a freshman and had very little experience. He only managed to get one win with a bunch of losses but he’s always nice to everyone, is willing to help those in need, he donated a lot to host our Class M's and is one of the hardest workers
Joe Allen is always helping roll out the mats for practice and is always looking to help others at practice when they are struggling.

Pom Poms with
Alexis Serafin

My team has improved, I'd say tremendously, from previous years we had our fun but this year not only do we have fun but we’re the best the school has seen in years. We all dance to our best potentials and work as hard as we can while still having our fun. Our best performance was the competition we just had Saturday at Fairfield Warde. Our dance was clean and we were all together on our timing. We also had full energy and had a great time performing it. We placed 4th which is the highest the Pom team has placed in years!

Team Member Spotlight: Giana Carr.

She is very quiet but is the sweetest thing in the world. She shines everytime we perform with her sharpness and faces. With how shy she is, she would come off as a back line girl who is super sloppy but she definitely shines out the most. I love her attitude, personality, and of course her faces.

This team has improved in every aspect and the team has played extremely well this year. With a winning record of 11 wins. This year my favorite game was senior night and there was a lot of energy in the gym and a really fun game to play in. The team's best game was against Guilford this season. They were undefeated and we gave them their first loss. I would like to shout out to the whole team. We are playing great together.
